2015 Seminar on Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and African Countries successfully held by China Legal Exchange Center

The 2015 Seminar on Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and African Countries was successfully held in Beijing and Zhejiang province from November 12th to December 2nd 2015. This seminar, jointly hosted by the Academy for International Business Officials and China Legal Exchange Center, had attracted 27 African business officials from 10 different countries including Cameroun, Djibouti, Egypt, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, South Africa, Seychelles, Tanzania, and Zambia.

At seminar opening ceremony on November 12th, Mr. Li Xiaobing, President of the Academy for International Business Officials and Mr. Yin Baohu, Director-General of China Legal Exchange Center separately bid welcome speeches on behalf of relevant parties.
 
During their stay in Beijing, African officials attended the Conference on Legal Risks and Countermeasures of China-Africa Investment and Trade hosted by China Law Society. More than 180 international delegates attended the Conference. At the Conference, Chinese and African enterprisers, lawyers and scholars carried out in-depth discussions on topics on taxation, foreign exchange, infrastructure, real estate, and labor issues relating to Sino-Africa overseas investment and exchanged valuable business information, advices and opportunities. 
 
African officials were given 13 lectures separately on the Introduction of China’s General Situation, Chinese Culture and Language, China’s Foreign Aid Policies, the One Belt and One Road strategy, the Socialist Legal System with Chinese Characteristics, the Judicial Reform in China, China’s Free Trade Zone Polices, and the Current Situation and Development Trend of China-Africa Cooperation, etc. They also visited the Star Times, the global media group and Water Expo China 2015 to experience China’s achievements in economic and legal fields. 
The Conference on Legal Risks and Countermeasures of China-Africa Investment and Trade
 
In Zhejiang Province, African officials attended the inauguration of the Center for African Legal and Social Development Studies which was jointly set up by China Law Society and Zhejiang Normal University in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. African officials were given 3 lectures including Characteristics of China's Industrialization Development and China-Africa Production Capacity Cooperation, the Current Status and Prospect of China-Africa Legal Exchange and the History and Future of China-Africa Cooperation.

In addition to the above activities, China Legal Exchange Center also arranged a series of entertainment and recreation activities for the African seminar officials. The successive visits to the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and Zhongguancun Innovation Park, Yiwu China Commodity City, the silk art museum and the traditional musical drama performance revealed Chinese cultural characteristics to African officials.  
 
At the closing ceremony, in the farewell speech, Mr. Wang Wei, Deputy Director-General of China Legal Exchange Center hoped all African friends present could be a supporter, initiator and contributor of China-African long-established friendship and share their vivid impression towards China with friends after they went back to their motherlands.
