China Legal Exchange Centre is a service organization specializing in international legal exchange. It was established in 1984 as a subsidiary public institution of China Law Society. The head office is located in Beijing, China. The Centre has 5 divisions, including Division of International Exchange, Division of International Cooperation, Division of Foreign Legal Information, Division of Hong Kong&Macao Affairs and General Affairs, and Division of Legal Research for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits.  The current Director-General of the Centre is Yin Baohu.
 
Duty
Carry out international legal exchange programs with a view to foster legal research for the promotion of the rule of law in China. Serve academicians and legal professionals all over the country during the progress of building a socialist country under the rule of law. 
 
Business Area
1. International Exchange and Visit: organize and send legal professionals to go to foreign countries for exchange, visit, training and study; organize and receive legal professionals from foreign countries to China for exchange, visit, training and study.
2. International Exchange Service: provide foreign affair service for legal professionals to go to foreign countries for exchange, visit, training and study.
3. Legal Training: plan and organize legal training courses, seminars and lectures in China and abroad.
4. Legal Consultation Service: provide legal consultation and argumentation; provide legal service for Chinese and foreign companies, international economic cooperation programs and large-scale social activities; 
5. Documents Edition: edit latest foreign legal documents and information; compile legal training textbooks.
6. International Legal Cooperation: carry out academic research, legal program cooperation and judicial assistance cooperation with international and regional legal organizations, foundations and foreign legal institutions.
7. Academic Conferences: plan, organize and carry out legal academic conferences in China and abroad.
8. Taiwan Research: Conduct researches on Taiwan legal problems; carry out legal exchange activities between China Mainland and Taiwan, as the competent institution of The Law Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits.
9. Academic Exchange of Hong Kong and Macao: Carry out legal exchange and cooperation activities between China Mainland and Hongkong and Macao.
